Nestled in the beautiful South Ayrshire countryside, Roodlea Barn is a beautifully converted barn wedding venue that gives you the freedom to create your day, your way. With rustic stone walls, exposed wooden beams, a spectacular vaulted ceiling, a magnificent floor to ceiling window overlooking the pond and golf course, and a grand double-sided fireplace, the space is a genuinely flexible canvas to make entirely your own.

A BEAUTIFUL BARN WEDDING VENUE IN AYRSHIRE

Our barn offers a truly special ceremony space, combining rustic stone walls, a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and elegant chandeliers. Walk down the aisle towards our floor to ceiling window, overlooking the pond and golf course, with our grand double-sided fireplace creating a warm and intimate backdrop. The space is ideal for both full day weddings and twilight celebrations.

The statement barn doors open into our rustic yet modern bar area, styled with soft furnishings, cosy corners and a wood-burning stove. On warmer days, guests can enjoy drinks and canapes on the terrace or gather by the pond, taking in the Ayrshire countryside views and capturing those relaxed, just-married moments.

With its spectacular vaulted ceiling and sparkling fairy lights, the barn transforms seamlessly into the perfect space for dining and dancing. Whether you envision a relaxed hog roast, a formal sit-down meal, a ceilidh band or a DJ to carry the night through, the celebration is entirely yours. Roodlea Barn is a space designed to be shaped around your day.

What you need to know

Planning your wedding comes with plenty of decisions, so we’ve made the essentials simple and straightforward.

Catering flexibility

Catering is not included in your hire. Choose from our approved wedding caterers for complete flexibility over your menu.

Outdoor spaces

The decking and partly covered terrace with outdoor heaters give guests a lovely spot to relax outside. Out on the golf course, a wooden pergola with beautiful countryside scenery is a popular spot for photos, and the surrounding country roads give your photographer even more to work with.

The Bridal Room

Salon-style mirrored wall and vanity table with plug sockets. Yours throughout the entire day, whenever you need it.

Fully managed bar

We run a fully stocked bar throughout your day, staffed by our own team. Drinks packages available and tailored to suit you.

On-site accommodation

Roodlea House sleeps up to 10 guests and is just a short walk from the barn. We also have the Honeymoon Retreat, a stunning one bedroom lodge with private decking, outdoor bath, wood burning stove and countryside views, perfect for your first night as a married couple

Every wedding at Roodlea is a little different, and we will work through all the details with you as your date gets closer. That said, here is a typical flow to give you a sense of how the day tends to run.

Thinking about a twilight wedding?

A more relaxed, evening-focused option. Ceremony from 4pm, then drinks, food and dancing until midnight. Available on Wednesdays and off-peak Saturdays at a special rate.
